Poor Oliver had to stay far away from home for the night until we finally rescued him, and brought him to our trusty mechanic to bring it back to life. It may seem odd that I am not pissed off by what happened yesterday !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , but no, I wanted my car to be healthy. I wanted my car to rev to happiness, make its front suspension work at every bend, I wanted Oliver to live.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
But first, we had to get it out of the neighborhood and to its second home, the workshop. My father told me as I arrived from school that if I wanted my car, I had to go and get it with him. And so we did, o find probably the sketchiest towing company in town that the mechanic recommended my father to use. We arrived to the place which was like a closed car junkyard I the middle of some 3rd world ghetto. They're they were, 3 brand new RAM platform tow trucks and on the side a small, downright bloodcurdling house where the 4 man in charge we're sitting, eating beans, and waiting for a job. It was the sort of place you wouldn't want your sub 6 year old son to see. We asked for someone to make the job, and like a couch spring a guy rose from it's wrecked ottoman and grabbed the keys of one of the RAMS. Outside, it was like a dirt filled playground with several cars that were parted out and taken apart as if they were Legos. There was a Toyota Matrix, a Civic, an 80s F-150, not very intriguing. Then I turned my head right, and saw this.
Damn did seeing this made me cringe and depressed. A pretty much 3 month or less old Focus ST. Silent. Not using its torque vectoring system. Not complicating its driver with its MFT. Not symposing it's exhaust note through it's speakers. It was dead.
We left the place and reached the neighborhood with the tow truck right at our tail. We came in to find Oliver in the same spot. It's dirty black paint gleaming in the sun, and it's peppy character made me smile as we got close. The truck got near the car, and we tried to turn it on with the same results as yesterday. Hesitation, and failure. It took the guy 5 minutes to pick up my car and be on his way to the mechanic.
It was a nice drive to the mechanic, with my father being his usual himself cheering me up with his sense of humor. When we finally reached the shop, we found the mechanic and told him that Oliver was here. The tow truck made an astonishing maneuver to deposit Oliver right on the spot to be fixed. My father handed him cash, and he left to the same place where I had seen the saddest looking ST in my life. But I couldn't be happier that Oliver was in good hands.
Ironically says in the back: "Mechanical Service"
We stayed to see if the mechanic could do anything to it, and the first thing he tries was changing the starter coil. The car was brought back to life, and it became apparent that it had blown through yet another coil, but this time, we had the warranty from the dealership. My father and I stormed off to get the new one hoping that the car could be fixed today. We reached the dealership, and asked for the piece to be replaced. The employees told us we had to have our old recipt, which my father had left in his job.
Politely nagging, we got another copy and the "parts" department told us to go to the "service" department of the dealership, to find a woman say to us to return to the "parts" department again. Confused, we told the lady she was rather wrong. She told us in the end that the piece had to be tried in other car so we were not lying and abusing of the warranty which seemed reasonable. But in true Mexican tradition, it was ALL going to be done as quickly and efficiently as it could. Tomorrow.
We left the dealership and I saw this chubby man going into his Turbo Beetle and leaving before us since we stayed looking at newer siblings of Oliver. Then, my dad and I left for home. 2 block out of the dealership we saw the same white Beetle with the same guy outside, making us a gesture to slow down and talk. We did, and he shouted my fathers name, pointing at him as if it was a high school reunion meeting. He told us he had seen us at the dealership but wasn't quite sure if we were the guys he knew. He then went on and talked about how infuriated he was when he made an appointment for his 10k mile service, went on time, came for the car, and found out the "technician" reported the cars computer as faulted and troubling. "This little problem costs 700 Dollars! The car is new! What, I thought the drug dealers where the criminals. But these dumbasses beat them by a lot!" Was his response.
We said goodbye, and I asked my father who the hell was that guy whom we just spoke with a good 15 minutes. I thought he would say it was a sort of old pal, or a family member I had never met. My fathers response: "I've got absolutely no clue who the hell he was. Seemed cool though."
What a day was it today. Thank you all o those who read through it, I appreciate it much.

It's always a sad sight seeing your car sitting in the mechanic's shop.

Ive got no idea. But me and my father were all the way to Oliver thinking what could've happened. We guessed that it should've been of a drug dealer or an asshole who drove it through some absolute death or off road, and insurance told the towing truck company to leave it there until someone claimed it. Being drug dealers, they don't give a Ferrets Shit what happens to their cars, no matter how awesome they are.

Not that I could notice, but it had something to do with the underside. I really had intrigue to ask, but preferred to keep quiet.

They love these kinds of cars. I have seen other one in a Yellow Focus; Another one in an Abarth; Another one in a Charger R/T; and about 4 of them in 4 Black Turbo LTZ Malibus. They like them quite a lot.

Hahah I know, but he has to feel at home there as well. Haha oh, and that nickname fits it PERFECTLY. It has enough power for me though! Fastest I've been is 90MPH, on that convertible roof, it feels like 200.

It has to be something underneath. All the panels look fine, and it wasn't crashed. I just got SO depressed looking at it. I mean, I would'nt mind taking it from their hands!

I've been able to hit 85 with over double the liters you have. I wouldn't call it a 2.slow. I partially blame the horrible GM 4-speed my engine is attached to though. Or maybe because my car has the aerodynamic properties of a brick.

Do you have any VW ownership words of wisdom? I might need them for when the Scirocco comes.
